Behind invisible doors

Private venues
  • For private visitors

Traditional French people rarely open their homes to strangers, but how does one define a stranger? If visitors are strongly recommended by someone one trusts, then the doors will open, particularly if the purpose is to share one's culture with visitors who respect it.

We propose such invitations when we have come to know you by email, and feel that you and your hosts would be in harmony.

This welcome is not commercial.

Our hostess is the granddaughter of a very well-known bookstore.

Her apartment is a few steps from Notre-Dame Cathedral.

  • For groups

We organize tastings, talks and musical soirées in private homes.

Such venues reinforce the ambiance, be it convivial or privileged.

• Costs: for private visitors, there is no charge for a meeting that involves only coffee or a glass of wine. although a contribution to a host's charity gives a sense of exchange. For dinner, visitors cover the cost (and may make such a contribution or bring flowers or a box of chocolates). For groups, the fee depends on the number of participants and the context.
