 - A father's portrait
Her great-great-grand-grandfather was Alexander Swoboda, a Hungarian Orientalist painter who in the 1860's travelled throughout the Ottoman Empire with his daughter.
Their voyage led her to write a dramatic historical novel - "I made up the story," she says, "and then I learned that much of what I said was true."
This great-grandmother became a painter herself.
