Paris remains THE city to which artists flock

Some exhibit in the city's numerous art galleries, but much of the huge creative population supports itself by radiating out, which living at the heart of Western Europe and the cachet of a Parisian address make easier. Parisian art exports – and so is often better known abroad.

 

This critical mass of artists puts Paris in the forefront of roots' expression and fusion. For over time, the French atmosphere influences foreigners, giving Parisian art a subtle unity, without self-conscious efforts to be "cutting edge".

These artists' work is interesting for many reasons. One is the authenticity of the roots they drawn on.
