• Please remunerate resource people (guide, chauffeur, host...) and PEF separately.
• PEF will ask you 20% of those costs plus annual dues. These prove membership, which is required for non-profit associations by law. |
• Because you will be a member, we are not obliged to add the otherwise-inevitable 19,65 VAT tax ("value-added tax) to your bill. As well, we recommend restaurants, drivers etc. without taking a commission.
• We are happy to help you with matters that concern your stay (within reasonable limits of course).

|
º If you contact us at the last minute
You may give your guide the dues and participation for PEF when you remunerate them at the end of the visit. This happens when private travelers learn about our tours when they are already in Paris, from the brochure at the Office of Tourism or at their hotel. |
º If you plan ahead
Sending PEF's participation and dues in advance, via bank transfer or a check on a French bank, reserves the date and lets us prepare in advance. You still pay the guide or chauffeur (or any other resource) directly at the end of the mission. |
º Either way, please remunerate resource people in cash.
They will give you a receipt.
• Fee information
|
• Guides pay up to 50% of their remunerations in deductions that are legally required (mainly for social security and retirement).
• Dues and participation fees contribute to overhead: insurance, updating this site, printing the brochure (please see the menu), joining the Office of Tourism, following the evolution of performers and artists and continuing to explore this changing city. |
• You will find somewhat lower fees if you address certain guides directly (given the just-mentioned deductions, however, the difference will not be great). Many guides ask more, particularly when visits are personalized.
• PEF's hidden advantages: knowledge of Paris acquired since the 1980's, an important iconography, the detailed descriptions given on this site, services for which we take no commission and suggestions that help you make the most of your trip without adding to its cost. |

2. ANNUAL DUES One key to working with us: understanding that we're a non-profit organization. So we work differently than the way agencies do.
By French law an association's advantages are open to members alone. We therefore suggest that you join us.
° Adults (over age 18): 20€ ° Groups of 6-10 participants: 80€ (one person joins and invites the others) ° Groups of more than 10; tours for cultural or charitable or for students; small companies: 80€ ° Companies with more than 10 employees: 250€
• Note: As a non-profit organization, we do not have to add the 19,65% VAT (Value Added Tax) to your bill. |
|
|
Set fee
• Individuals or small groups of friends: Membership may be enough. The fee, if there is one, depênds on what is asked.
• Charitable, school or cultural institutions: 385€ per program day
• Tours that agencies organize: 490€ per program day
• Company events: We discuss the fee.
These figures give an idea of what to expect. They final figures depend on what is asked. |
Procedure
• If we work together for the first time and if the project requires considerable planning, we will give you an idea of suggestions and budget. Then we will ask a deposit of 100€, to begin serious planning. We may engage in a number of email exchanges.
• Fees for individual events are paid at their conclusion, in exchange for receipts.
• If your accountant does not make immediate payments, please tell us. The bill may then be slightly higher.
|
4.
TO EXPEDITE AN ESTIMATE THAT IS AS TAILOR-MADE AS THE PROGRAM
|
• Please propose your budget at the start, so that we can:
° Recommend service providers whose fees fit your parameters. ° Balance off expensive suggestions with those that are less costly.
|
• Then accept – at first – price guidelines rather than set costs because: ° Set prices would oblige us protect ourselves by stating their highest probable level.
° Many costs are variable. |
Please note: Bills are itemized,
which lets you know the cost of each element.
5.
CANCELLATION
|
º Should we cancel a program, we refund it fully (that problem has never yet occurred).
º Should you cancel, we do not reimburse it. We do, however, offer to reschedule with no extra charge. |
º Should unforeseeable circumstances render an event impossible, we substitute an activity of equal interest. This has sometimes happened and the substitutions have been very well accepted. |
