A Montmartre wineshop owner explains the interest of tastings in his shop:  "My wines are from small producers whom I know personally. I know exactly how their wines are produced. My clients live in the neighbood and come for something different."

• Suggestions

 

Adding cheeses, terrines or other products of the area from which the wine comes, plus a salad and a simple dessert, turns the tasting into an informal supper and avoids breaking the atmosphere by dining elsewhere. As well, the cost is far less than that of going to a restaurant. 

Live music makes the evening even more convivial. We choose performers who fit the theme and the place. Each element of a soirée should reinforce the others others...
