...drew an enthusiastic crowd of at least 200 people in December 2009, despite a snowstorm and métro strike. In early 2010 his orchestra won the Grand Prix of the "Hot Club de France" for the album, Duke Ellington is alive. It performs regularly at "l'Entrepot" in Paris.

...this Chicagoan, like so many of her compatriots, decided she wanted to stay. Many become discouraged when hard realities set in.

This singer, pianist and percussionist writes, performs and produces music that goes beyond love songs (Where you going with that gun?), though he composes those too. Sign of his versatility – creating over 250 jingles. Nami's song, with its 24 versions, is well-known.

Famous in Japan, he travels to the United States and lives in Paris.

 

Recent performances: In 2008 and 2009. major concerts in Japan (79 and 104 performers on stage).In September 2009, television appearance there. In 2010, a tour in different parts of France.

 

 

 

 

At the "Houdon", Montmartre café known for its jazz...

 

Autumn Leaves ("Les feuilles mortes"), My Way ("Comme d'habitude"), Saint James Infirmary ("Les portes du pénitencier")... are so well-known on both sides of the Pond that North Americans and French each assume the song began with them. 

 

This Texan and her excellent French pianist perform standards American visitors and Parisians know by heart – in French or English. All join in.

    She can, of course, perform concerts on other themes.
