PEF can be compared to a garden, because its local members are like flowers that have been chosen – here are ideas for creating your own bouquet. Notice that fees go mainly to the "flowers"...

Basic costs

• To guides, half-day (3-4 hours) 190€, full day (5-6 hours) 290€. This is the fee that guides' and interpreters' associations recommend.

•To specialists, Please ask us.

•To PEF, 20% of the amount due to guide or specialist, plus dues.

• To drivers, 40-55€ an hour within Paris. We reserve taxis or professional drivers, all of whom we have worked with and appreciate. PEF takes no commission on this (or any other) service.

Another kind of beginning – "alternative" city tours

• Our reply to the classic bus tour: 190€ half-day, 290€ full day, plus driver (40-55€ per hour)

•The trend-setting east with its cafés and musique. 190€. Drinks extra, but their cost is modest.

• African musicians' showcase. Musicians and media connect in a Cameroonian record-store, a landmark for many Africans in France. Free. Saturdays, 8-10 pm.

•Photo-tour: A photographer's take on the city. Half-day, 500€, full day 750€, car and driving included. If interpreter / assistant, +200 /250€.

•Europe's capital of jazz: A trumpeteer proposes choices among the multitude of possibilities that Paris hosts each night. He brings his horn and may jam with the musicians, most of whom are friends. 250€, car (seats three passengers included, drinks and entry fees extra).
