For groups of more than five fees are higher, but remain reasonable

PEF can be compared to a garden, because its local members are like flowers that have been chosen – here are ideas for a bouquet.  

 

 

 

  • Basic costs (for 1-5 participants)

"Fees and functioning" gives the details.

 

• To guides, half-day 190€, full day, 290€. These are the fees that guides' organizations practice. They include social security and other deductions (roughly 50%).

 

•To PEF, 20% of guides' remunerations, plus dues (20€ per person). This payment includes administration, organization and insurance.

 

Total cost : 228€ / 348€.

 

• If driver, 30-55€ an hour within Paris. No commission to PEF on this or on any service other than that of guides.

    º Find your way by understanding the winds and the sites of medieval trade routes and city walls. Experience Notre-Dame as its builders intended. Understand the Monarchy's rise, glory and demise. Decode the role of sex, money and majesty at the Opéra...

    • Afternoon: delving further

    • Beyond the usual bus tour: Fees as given above, plus driver, 40-55€ per hour. Cars seat 3-8 passengers. PEF takes no commission (or on any service other than those of guides). 

     

     

    • After dark

     

    • Trend-setting "Paris Est" with its cafés and music. Fee given above. Car included (seats three passengers). Drinks extra, but their cost is modest. If the cruise preceeds this, (often on Saturday, 5-7pm), +10€ per participant.

     

    • Showcase of African music. Musicians and media connect in a Cameroonian record-store, a landmark for many Africans in France. Free. Saturdays, 8-10 pm. 

     

     

    • Photo-tour: A photographer's take on the city. Half day, 500€, full day 750€ 500€, car and driving included (car seats six passengers) If interpreter (who stays in car during stops) +200€.

     

     

     

     

    • Europe's capital of jazz: A trumpeteer proposes choices among the multitude of possibilities that Paris hosts each night. He brings his horn and may jam with the musicians, most of whom he knows, 250€. Car included (seats three passengers). Drinks and entry fees not included. (These vary greatly and our cicerone will say what to expect.)
