Discover Europe's most famous cemetery, the Père Lachaise

The 'garden of the dead', slopes and nature encourage not sadness, but meditation

Imagination, tenderness or, sometimes, megalomania make many of its sculptures exceptional examples of funerary art.

Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison... so many celebrities rest here that we can create visits around many themes. This visit concerned Protestant tombs.

The graves of Heloïse and Abelard "launched" the cemetery. "The Count of Montecristo" sets a fashionable entombment by their side.

Graves of Protestants. Their austerity sets them apart from those of many Catholics, with their remarkable funerary art.

For 1-5 visitors: You can visit the cemetery alone, but the multitude of tombs makes it hard to find particular graves using the map. As well, there is so much to say, and so many high points, that yopu may be grateful for a guide.

° If you are a larger group, you may prefer this erudite and charismatic specialist of Paris. Viewing his collection of contemporary art after the walk is a most after the walk is a most valuable experience. The cost depends on the number of people and the context. Please ask us.
